Abstract
There was conducted the analysis of electromyography of patients with complex maxillofacial pathology using eight-electromyographs BioEMG III (USA) when characterizing the synchrony or asynchrony of the work m.masseter and m.temporalis in orthopedic rehabilitation using postresection and overdentures. It was established that muscle activity synchronicity depended on the chewing side and the degree of the damage of the areas surrounding resection zone and that is why the activity on the working side occurred 0.05 sec earlier. In the analysis of the symmetry of the muscles there was established the symmetry m.temporalis at a rather low level - 54% between the left and right sides, as opposed to the actual masticatory muscle, where the symmetry of the power was at 95%.
