Abstract

Under health care reform the provision of high-quality medical care is impossible without performing various types of medical activities being safe and available according to standards of medical care. Professional opinion of a medical worker is an important factor in the functional and organizational system of quality control of medical care.

The objective of the research was to analyze the opinions of health care professionals (including nephrologists, pediatricians and general physicians) on the implementation of medical and technological documents in health care institution of Chernivtsi region as well as their impact on the quality of medical care (nephrology care) for children of the region on the basis of an anonymous survey of physicians.

According to the results of the survey, physicians of Chernivtsi region positively assess the implementation of medical and technological documents in their practice. They believe that the implementation of medical and technological documents (local protocols of medical care) in health care institution of Chernivtsi region allowed them to “unify the requirements”, “standardize” and improve the quality of providing medical care (nephrology care) for children at the regional level. Our research will allow us to conduct well-grounded administrative measures concerning the provision of an adequate medical care (at the regional level) in accordance with national standards.
